What is our Goal?
Our goal is to support the academic success of our students, to promote a life-long enjoyment of reading, and to provide knowledge building experiences with 24/7 access to information in a welcoming environment that is conducive to learning.

· Together we motivate students to read for pleasure and information:
o Fiction and non fiction
o Specialized Collections - Graphic novels
o White Pine Reading Club
o Reference
o Virtual sources
· We design learning to engage students in inquiry learning:
o Building critical thinking skills
o Working efficiently with information
o Utilizing best technologies
o Fostering multiple literacy skills
o Creating and sharing
What can students do?
Northview’s Library has 20,000 books and a lab of 34 computers with Internet access. Students can use the Library on their own or come with their class to find excellent reading materials and conduct research. Independently they can study at tables, browse for books, read their e-mail, work on their assignments or use one of our online research databases. When they are at home or in a public library, students can access our Virtual Library Web Site 24 hours a day to use subscription databases or selected web links including the Toronto Public Library, and TDSB student research guide.
